Container transportation is the backbone of modern international freight. MSI-Trans provides Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) services across all major deep-sea trade lanes, handling booking, pickup, port operations, customs clearance, and final delivery under one operational umbrella.
FCL vs LCL — Which to Choose
FCL dedicates an entire container to one shipper and makes sense from roughly 15 cubic metres upward. LCL consolidates multiple shippers’ cargo into one container and is cost-effective below that threshold. FCL offers faster port-to-port transit, single-handling security, and no consolidation fees; LCL offers flexibility and lower entry cost for smaller volumes.
Container Types Handled
Standard dry vans in 20ft and 40ft configurations cover most general cargo. 40ft High Cube adds 30 cm of internal height for volumetric goods. Reefer containers in 20ft and 40ft handle temperature-controlled cargo from -25°C to +25°C. Open-top and flat-rack containers accept out-of-gauge cargo. Tank containers move bulk liquids. MSI-Trans books the right equipment for each cargo profile.
Port Coverage
We operate through Ambarli and Mersin on Turkey’s main container gateways, connecting to Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Felixstowe, Piraeus, Koper, Constanta, and onward to trans-oceanic hubs including Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, and Newark. Contracted vessel space across Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd secures capacity at stable rates.
Port Handling and Depot Services
Every container requires professional handling from depot to quay and vice versa. MSI-Trans provides container stuffing and de-stuffing at bonded CFS warehouses, lashing and securing for maritime transport, seal management, gate-in/gate-out coordination, and equipment return to empty depots.
Documentation
Container shipping relies on the Bill of Lading (B/L) as the primary transport document. MSI-Trans issues House B/L, manages Master B/L with carriers, handles Telex Release and Express Release instructions, and coordinates with banks for Letter of Credit shipments. We also file customs import/export declarations and ensure ISF (10+2) compliance for US-bound cargo.
